A few years ago, I began trying to write more about what God is doing in our lives and in our work here in Thailand by starting a blog and reporting on the things I saw God doing. God was doing so much in our ministry, I found myself desperate to share with anyone who would listen.
I did pretty good for about a year and then the challenges of the day put me further and further behind keeping up with all the things I should have been writing about. When the year 2017 began, I decided I must do something to better inform our prayer warriors. So, I began reporting “in the moment,” at times using facebook live (following my oldest son’s lead). It was fairly easy to do that on facebook. However, I knew I was missing some dear friends who do not have facebook. So, my oldest daughter, Becky, suggested I start a new website and she offered to design and administrate it for me. I just couldn’t refuse. And so began our new website lifelinestoheaven.weebly.com. It is still a work in progress, but we have it up and running.
In the beginning, my motivation was to help our treasured prayer warriors have specific things to pray for and to hear, first hand, what were the results of their prayers. That was an expected benefit. But, there was something else that happened that I did not expect. I found myself carrying around a small notebook and a pen, jotting down the things I wanted our readers to know. And then it happened, I began to expect the Great Things that God would do. I began to see that I was now viewing mobile clinic weeks with a new, excited anticipation of what I would see God do. My faith took a new turn. I had a new faith that prays with expectation, that goes with expectation, and endures with expectation. Faith with Great Expectation!
Try it, start writing down all the amazing things God does around you. See if it doesn’t increase your faith.
